Allied Digestive Health is seeking Part-Time Per Diem Histotechnologists/Histotechnicians to join our NY Pathology Lab in Pearl River, NY. Candidates should possess a NY State License, strong histological skills, and ideally a bachelor's degree in Histotechnology.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical histology laboratory.

• Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.

Base pay range

$37.00/hr - $58.00/hr

About the Role:

As a Histotechnologist/Histotechnician at NY Pathology Lab, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and analysis of tissue samples for diagnostic purposes. Your expertise will ensure that high-quality histological slides are produced, which are essential for accurate disease diagnosis and treatment planning. You will be responsible for overseeing the histology laboratory processes, including embedding, sectioning, and staining of tissue specimens. Additionally, you will mentor and train junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous learning and improvement. Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact patient care and the overall effectiveness of the healthcare services provided by our lab.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• NY State License as a clinical laboratory histotechnician or technologist
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical histology laboratory
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or a related field
• Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
• Experience with digital pathology and image analysis software
• Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic health records (EHR)
• Advanced certification in histotechnology or related specialty
