Job summary

Artivion, Inc. in Georgia seeks a Histotechnologist to perform histology services and support the in-house pathology laboratory.

You will operate tissue processing equipment, prepare slides, embed samples, perform stains, manage inventory, and assist with reports. Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. General lab experience required; two years histotechnology preferred; histochemistry skills valued.

• Two years' histotechnology experience preferred.
• Skilled in routine and special histochemistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage pathology lab supply inventory and prepare specimens for shipment.
• Assist with generating reports and interact with pathologists.
• Perform gross examinations as assigned and support Medical Director.

Position Overview:

The Histotechnologist will perform histology services and provide support for the Artivion in-house pathology laboratory.

Responsibilities:

• Properly operate and maintain tissue processing equipment.
• Prepare microscopic slides by processing samples, embedding into paraffin, cutting blocks on microtome, and routine staining.
• Perform special histologic stains as requested.
• Manage pathology laboratory supply inventory.
• Prepare specimens for return shipment as required.
• Perform selected gross examinations as assigned.
• Assist with generating reports as requested.
• Perform other duties as requested by the pathologist or Medical Director.
• Must be available to work Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 4:00PM.

Qualifications:

• General laboratory experience required.
• Two years' experience in histotechnology preferred.
• Skilled in routine and special histochemistry preferred.
