UMMC Histology department on the Main Campus Jackson is seeking a Histotechnologist to process, embed, cut, and stain human tissue. The role may require call time at department's discretion.
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree with one year of histopathology experience is required. You will operate microtomes and cryostats, prepare routine and special stains, label slides for pathologists, and maintain accurate records while following safety and infection-control standards.

Education and Experience Required: Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) with one (1) year of experience in histopathology.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: N/A
Ability to properly orient, embed, and cut tissue using microtome and cryostat. Understanding of tissue processing. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members. Computer and related software application skills. Ability to maintain accurate records.
