Job summary

Altasciences in Missouri is seeking a Histotechnician/Histotechnologist to prepare tissue sections for histopathologic evaluation and support research studies. You will perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining, while expanding skills in trimming, bone decalcification, and necropsy procedures.

Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOPs and GLP training are essential. Candidates with at least one year of lab experience or relevant training, and eligibility for

Qualifications

• Histology skills for tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
• Eligibility for HT(ASCP) within one year of employment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue specimens for histopathologic evaluation following SOPs and study protocols.
• Identify and trim fixed tissues, preserving structures for evaluation.
• Perform paraffin processing and embedding with correct orientation.
• Apply microtomy to produce high-quality sections.
• Conduct routine H&E staining and coverslipping; monitor slide quality.
