Job summary
Essentia Health in Duluth, MN is seeking a Histotechnician for pathology and cytology specimen processing and preparation for interpretation by pathologists and cytotechnologists. You will perform routine and special stains, IHC/ISH, Mohs and frozen sections as required, ensuring quality through QA/QC activities, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting to support accurate diagnosis.

Qualifications
- Graduation from NAACLS-accredited Histotechnician program or equivalent education.
- Alternate paths include 60 semester hours in biology/chemistry with 1 year histopathology lab experience in US/Canada/ACLA labs.
- Or an associate degree with biology/chemistry and 1 year histopathology lab experience.
Responsibilities
- Process and prepare pathology and cytology specimens for pathologist/cytotechnologist interpretation.
- Perform routine and special staining procedures, IHC/ISH, Mohs and frozen sections as required.
- Engage in QA/QC monitoring, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
