JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for accurate, correct routine and stat tissue processing including embedment, microtomy, mounting, and staining. Performs routine and special histology including advanced immunocytochemical and histochemical testing. Recognizes procedural, instrument and quality control problems and notifies Charge Histotechnolgist. Follows guidelines to correct problems or errors. Prepares reagents, stains and solutions according to guidelines.
EDUCATION:
Minimum Education : Associate Degree in an appropriate science field/Histotechnican (HT ASCP) certification or eligible.
EXPERIENCE:
1 year in Histology Lab comparable to FAHC preferable.
