Qualifications

High school diploma/AA degree (minimum).
Minimum 1 year of formal or on-the-job training/experience as a histology technician.

Responsibilities

Assist in establishing, optimizing, and customizing histology procedures for fixing, processing, sectioning, staining, and reagent preparation.
Perform routine immunohistochemistry on an automated platform and in situ hybridization, routine and special stains, and molecular studies.
Assist in vetting antibodies for specific applications.
Perform histology according to CAP and GLP regulations and approved SOPs.
Research, troubleshoot, and test new reagents.
Maintain data management including organization and sharing of whole slide images.
