Summary of Job Duties: Histotechnicians execute histologic techniques to patient specimens in order to facilitate pathological diagnoses.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with HT (ASCP) certification or eligible, OR 60 semester hours with a combination of 12 semester hours in biology AND chemistry, OR an associate degree with a combination of 12 semester hours in biology and chemistry within or in addition to associate degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of full-time clinical experience in histopathology laboratory within the last five years OR 1 year of full-time veterinary, industry or research experience in histopathology laboratory.
  • Certified as HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP)
