Clarapath seeks a Histotechnician in Hawthorne, NY to support SectionStar and TrimStar Pro tissue processing systems. You will perform hands-on histology, embedding, sectioning, staining, and slide preparation to ensure tissue quality for downstream analysis.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology, Biology, Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field preferred.
• HT or HTL certification preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on histology laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong experience with tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, sectioning, staining, and slide preparation.
• Experience evaluating tissue sections and identifying common histology-related quality issues.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to follow established procedures while also identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine histology procedures, including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, sectioning, staining, and slide preparation
• Prepare, handle, and evaluate tissue specimens in accordance with established laboratory procedures and quality standards
• Evaluate tissue sections and slides for quality, consistency, and suitability for downstream analysis
• Support the testing, validation, and evaluation of Clarapath products and technologies
• Operate and assist in evaluating automated and electro-mechanical laboratory equipment, including tissue sectioning system
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to tissue preparation, section quality, equipment performance, and laboratory workflows
• Document test results, observations, procedures, and findings accurately and consistently
• Provide detailed feedback to Engineering and R&D teams regarding product usability, tissue quality, workflow performance, and opportunities for improvement
• Assist with the development and refinement of laboratory procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
• Follow all applicable laboratory safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies
• Maintain laboratory supplies, materials, and equipment as needed
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced product development environment
• Support additional laboratory, product development, and testing activities as needed
