Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a Histotech for a full-time 3rd shift role in a fast-paced laboratory environment. You will embed and prepare slides for routine H&E and special stains, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot as needed to ensure quality results.

The role requires CAHEA/NAACLS-accredited histotechnology training with HT(ASCP), plus 1 year of relevant experience and ASCP certification. Safety, accuracy, and adherence to PHI/privacy standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from CAHEA/NAACLS-accredited histotech program with HT(ASCP).
• 1 year of lab training or experience with high-complexity testing.
• ASCP certification or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing and analytical skills.
• Operate general lab equipment including alarms.

Responsibilities

• Embed and prepare slides for routine H&E and special stain procedures.
• Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot processing, embedding, cutting, staining as needed.
• Work in a fast-paced lab with hazardous materials.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
