This is a limited tenure position for up to 3 years, with potential to reduce to 0.5 FTE if accepted into the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences (MCSHS) Histology Technician Program. As a Histotech Assistant in the Histology Laboratory, you will perform technical procedures under supervision, including embedding tissue, microtomy, and other lab tasks. Additional responsibilities include:

Note: This position typically does not meet ASCP Route 2 eligibility for Histology Technician Examination. Employees are required to work 2 years in this role before applying for other positions within Mayo Clinic. It is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and Mayo does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
Applicants must have an associate's degree or a high school diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant experience. The position is limited to 3 years, with potential to reduce to 0.5 FTE upon acceptance into the MCSHS Histology Technician Program.
Exemption Status: Nonexempt
Compensation: $22.83 - $32.71/hour
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, occasional Saturdays
Hours/Pay Period: 80
