Job summary

American Leadership Academy in the East Valley is seeking a History Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and may need to obtain the Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities include delivering a comprehensive history curriculum, using primary sources, differentiating instruction, creating assessments, and maintaining records. Collaboration with staff and ongoing professional development are expected.

Responsibilities

• Implement a comprehensive history curriculum using primary sources and artifacts.
• Create detailed lesson plans aligned with state standards and approved curriculum guidelines.
• Deliver engaging history lessons and assess student learning with tests, quizzes, essays and projects.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners and provide extra support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress and manage classroom environment.
