Job summary

Fusion Academy is seeking a History teacher to deliver personalized, 1-to-1 instruction for students in grades 5–12. The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, creative lessons, and close collaboration with a team of passionate educators.

You’ll teach World and U.S. History, Government, and Economics using provided curriculum, support students’ social-emotional growth, and maintain accurate records while engaging with families and the campus community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; teaching credential or advanced degree is a plus.
• Ability to teach World/US History, Government, and Economics with provided curriculum.
• Experience with students including those with diverse learning needs.
• Mentoring experience and commitment to social-emotional learning.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to collaborate and participate in campus life.

Overview

Fusion Academy is a fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 5–12. As a HistoryTeacher, you’ll have the flexibility to shape your schedule, design creative lessons, and collaborate with passionate colleagues. Our diverse team of lifelong learners shares a mission to personalize education for every student — academically, socially, and emotionally. Not all campuses serve grades 4 and 5; specific details will be shared during the interview process.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of courses (World and U.S. History, Government, and Economics), following content standards — curriculum and resources provided.
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
• Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.

Pay Range: USD $27.30 - USD $27.30 /Hr.
