Qualifications

• BA in a Social Science subject area (e.g., U.S. History, World History, Political Science).
• Minimum of 5 years of U.S. and/or World History teaching experience at the secondary education level (7‑12th grade).
• Ability to teach, observe, and evaluate student teachers in field placements.
• Awareness of and sensitivity to a multicultural student population.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise SSED 184Z: Phase II Student Teaching for a 4‑unit graduate course.
• Engage in professional activities, attend meetings, and follow CSU and SJSU policies.
• Coordinate with supervisors and program coordinators to support student teachers.
