The position is 9-month, tenure-track with a budgeted salary of $62,000 and benefits; teaching load includes HIST 101/102, CH 203, PSC 101, and related courses, plus service and scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in History; ABD candidates may apply with the Ph.D. completed by July 31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Teach core Nevada State University history courses in-person at the North Las Vegas campus.
• Maintain a 9-month teaching load of 4 courses per semester (4/4) with two course releases in the first year.
• Recruit students into history and pre-law programs.
• Serve on departmental/college committees and engage in scholarly activity.
