Job summary

Prince William County Government's Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking an Historic Preservation Specialist to lead tours of County-owned historic sites, develop history programs, and conduct research to illuminate local heritage.

You will engage diverse audiences, including schools and the public, work with volunteers, and collaborate in a small, energetic team dedicated to public history and interpretive education. Full-time role with 37.5 hours weekly and occasional evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting historical tours and delivering public history programs.
• Experience developing and implementing history programs and events.
• Experience engaging large groups and school groups.
• Experience with volunteer management and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Lead tours of County-owned historic sites.
