The Trustees is seeking a Cultural Site Interpreter for Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA. You will lead house tours, engage visitors with stories, and connect people with our historic collections across five galleries.

This part‑time, limited term role offers weekend work, a variety of shifts, and training to learn our interpretive philosophy. If you love history, literature, and philosophy, you’ll fit right in and help make our sites welcoming and engaging.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience in museums or education settings.
• Experience in customer service or public programs.
• Ability to tell stories and engage visitors effectively.
• Strong interpersonal communication and audience engagement.
• Flexibility to work weekends and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate interactive tour experiences for visitors of all ages.
• Welcome and orient visitors as an ambassador for The Trustees.
• Attend trainings and team meetings on interpretive philosophy and techniques.
• Follow best practices in interpretation, collections management, and security.
• Work up to 4 days per week including weekends and event coverage.
• Help keep buildings and grounds clean and welcoming.
