Job summary

Clark Construction Company seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects in Detroit and Southeast Michigan. You will oversee planning, execution, and closeout, delivering quality work while managing budgets and schedules.

The role emphasizes historic renovation, restoration, and adaptive reuse, with growth opportunities in a expanding Detroit presence. Based in Detroit, you will build strong client partnerships, mentor engineers, and collaborate across departments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Experience with historic renovation, restoration, adaptive reuse, or preservation projects is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from planning through completion, delivering safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Develop and maintain project scopes, schedules, work breakdown structures, and execution plans.
• Proactively manage risks, budgets, schedules, and scope changes.
• Allocate resources with superintendents and operations leadership.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
• Mentor project engineers and promote team growth.
• Support business development and pursue new opportunities in Southeast Michigan.
• Monitor project performance and drive issue resolution.
