Job summary

The City of Georgetown seeks a Preservation & Redevelopment Program Manager to serve as the technical expert for downtown planning, architectural design, and historic preservation. The role liaises with HARC and guides the Downtown Master Plan implementation. A Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field plus 4 years’ experience is required; AICP is preferred.

Licensed Texas driver’s required; salary range $75,600.72–$94,702.40 annually. Applicants must submit a cover letter and resume.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional planning experience.
• Experience in historic districts design review preferred.
• AICP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and promote the City’s Historic Preservation Program.
• Lead Downtown Redevelopment Planning projects.
• Provide technical guidance on preservation, zoning and site plan reviews.
• Engage with property owners, developers, and public on preservation policies.
