Job summary

Gamma Phi Omega International is seeking a Gardener to perform general landscape maintenance duties at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida. This full-time position involves grass cutting, weed management, planting, and caring for horticultural displays.

The ideal candidate will possess landscape maintenance experience, knowledge of South Florida plants, and a high school diploma. This role requires working outdoors in different weather conditions, providing a unique opportunity to engage with nature.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of work experience in landscape maintenance practices.
• Capable of carrying up to 50 lbs and working outside in all weather conditions.
• Understanding of general landscape maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily grounds maintenance activities.
• Conduct and record fertilizer, pesticide, and herbicide applications.
• Maintain all landscaped and natural areas to desired standards.

Skills

Landscape maintenance practices

Knowledge of South Florida landscape plants

Ability to apply pesticides/herbicides

Good interpersonal skills

English fluency

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
