Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with basic knowledge of 18th-century colonial history.
• Preferred: Four-year degree in American History or trade school certification with handwork concentration.

Responsibilities

• Tend vegetable, fruit, and ornamental gardens using 18th-century methods under supervision.
• Learn plant identities and seasonal changes; maintain tools and workspace.
• Assist with seminars, workshops, and lectures on 18th-century horticulture.
• Provide historical information and context during public interpretation of the trades.
