Georgetown University seeks a skilled professional to support the Immunohistochemistry Department within the Histopathology Laboratory of the Lombardi Cancer Center. The role involves immunohistochemical staining, slide scanning, image acquisition and analysis to advance biomarker discovery and validation.

The on-campus position reports to the HTSR Director and collaborates with immunohistochemistry and image analysis teams while ensuring accurate billing and cost estimates for investigators.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; PhD preferred.
• Experience with image analysis and immunohistochemistry.
• Aptitude for working with research specimens and image analysis.
• Knowledge of anatomy and histology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management.
• Organized with initiative and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform immunohistochemical tissue staining and slide preparation.
• Conduct slide scanning, image acquisition and analysis for biomarker work.
• Assist with billing estimates and expense planning for investigators.
