Job summary

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a Histology Technologist II to perform routine and complex histologic techniques on tissue samples for microscopic examination and support the Pathologist in providing accurate diagnoses.

The role includes creating and monitoring quality assurance programs in the lab, performing special procedures, and guiding new associates or students as required within a high-volume anatomic pathology lab.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Science or Applied Science and/or accredited Histotechnology program.
• Two years histology work experience with HS diploma and ASCP eligibility (HT/HLT) may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex histologic techniques on tissue samples for microscopic examination.
• Support Pathologist in providing accurate diagnoses.
• Create and monitor quality assurance programs in the lab.
• Instruct new associates or students as required.
