Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Histology Technologist II in Toledo North to perform routine and complex histologic techniques on tissue samples for microscopic examination, supporting the Pathologist with accurate diagnoses. You will handle special procedures in a high-volume lab, create QA programs, and mentor new staff.

The role requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or related field; ASCP HT/HLT eligibility is considered.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Science or Applied Science; completion of accredited histology training.
• Two years histology experience with High School Diploma and eligibility for ASCP HT/HLT exam.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex histologic techniques on tissue samples for microscopic examination.
• Support Pathologist in providing accurate diagnoses.
• Carry out procedures requiring complex steps and maintain high-volume lab workflow.
• Create and monitor quality assurance programs in the lab.
• Instruct new associates or students as required.
