Job Description:
To perform a variety of routine histological procedures related to the preparation of tissue for microscopic examination by a pathologist. Responsibilities include embedding, microtomy, staining, and other special techniques needed for diagnosis.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Must be eligible for certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or have a minimum of three (3) years of applicable histology technical experience. Certification eligibility must be demonstrated with a letter from ASCP. Students enrolled in an accredited Histology Technician associate degree program with documented competence may be considered. Degree must be obtained within nine (9) months from the date of hire.
