Job Description: To perform routine histological procedures related to tissue preparation for microscopic examination by a pathologist, including embedding, microtomy, staining, and other techniques as needed for diagnosis.

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Eligibility for certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or at least three (3) years of relevant histology experience. If eligible for certification, must provide a letter from ASCP confirming eligibility to sit for the exam. Students enrolled in an accredited Histology Technician associate degree program with documented competence may be considered; they must obtain their degree within nine (9) months of hire.
