Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking histotechnologists for the Charleston campus to join a premier health system. Openings exist on 2nd and 3rd shifts with hourly rates of $31–$40+ depending on experience.

Under direct supervision the histotechnologist performs routine and complex histologic procedures in accordance with established procedures. Performs grossing, processing, embedding, microtomy, routine and special stains, immunohistochemistry, and frozen sectioning on human tissue to produce microscopic slides submitted for pathologists’ review. Performs quality control on completed slides. Identifies problems that may affect diagnosis and results. Records observations from tests. Documents maintenance of instruments and equipment used in the lab. Complies with established laboratory policies for universal precautions and safety.
