Qualifications

• Associate degree in science required.
• Florida Technician License or ability to obtain during interview.
• Technical specialty in Histology.
• 1–2 years in a high-volume histology setting helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform stat procedures, timed studies, and routine tests within turnaround targets.
• Embeds tissue specimens in correct orientation; sections paraffin blocks at a high rate.
• Produces sections of correct thickness with minimal cutting artifacts.
• Perform routine H&E stain.
• Prepares smears, cell blocks, and Cytospin preparations.
• Perform quality control procedures and document to maintain specimen integrity.

Seeking a Histology Technician / Histo Lab Tech / Histotechnician to provide expertise and champion results. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels the patient experience is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role

• Perform stat procedures, timed studies, and routine tests within established turnaround time targets
• Embeds tissue specimens in correct orientation at a rate of 45-60 seconds per block Sections paraffin blocks at an average rate of 35-40 blocks per hour
• Produces sections of correct thickness with a minimum of cutting artifacts
• Perform routine H & E stain
• Prepares smears, cell blocks, and Cytospin preparations
• Perform quality control procedures per protocol and complete necessary documentation to maintain specimen integrity throughout all processes

What Qualifications you will need

• A 2 Year/Associate Degree in Science required
• A State of Florida Technician License OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process
• Technical specialty in Histology
• 1-2 years in a high-volume histology setting is helpful
