Job summary

Sagis Diagnostics is seeking a Full Time Histology Technician in Houston, TX. Shift: Monday through Friday, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, at 77092. Responsibilities include performing histological procedures and preparations, maintaining logs and reports, and ensuring a clean, compliant lab environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of Histotech experience, a high school diploma or GED and an associate degree. ASCP certification/registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Grossing or Histotech experience required
• High School / GED and an Associate's Degree required
• Certification/registration as a Histology Technician or Technologist by ASCP preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform histological procedures on tissues.
• Perform histological preparations.
• Maintain logs and prepare regular reports on procedures for specific tissues.
• Ensure lab equipment and supplies are clean and sterile and maintain lab cleanliness.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to prevent unauthorized disclosure of PHI.
• Promote a culture of safety for patients and associates.
• Perform troubleshooting measures in the Histology Lab.
• Maintain daily equipment Quality Control Forms.
• Assist with managing supplies and open/receive dates.
• Demonstrate ability to interpret technical data and troubleshoot.
• Demonstrate ability to follow directions.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Sagis Diagnostics is seeking a Full Time Histology Technician.

• Monday through Friday, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. Houston, TX 77092
• Perform histological procedures on tissues.
• Perform histological preparations.
• Maintain logs and prepare regular and special reports on procedures for specific tissues.
• Ensure that laboratory equipment and supplies are clean and sterile and maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory
• Follow the guidelines of HIPAA, designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of PHI.
• Promote a culture of safety for patients and associates through proper identification, proper reporting, documentation and prevention of medical errors in a non-punitive environment.
• Perform troubleshooting measures that concern the Histology Lab.
• Maintain daily equipment Quality Control Forms.
• Help maintain supplies with open/receive dates.
• Demonstrate skills in technical data interpretation and ability to troubleshoot.
• Demonstrate ability to take and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of Grossing or Histotech experience REQUIRED
• High School / G.E.D and a minimum Associates Degree* REQUIRED*
• Certification/registration as a Histology Technician or Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathology PREFERRED
