Job summary

Garnet Health seeks a Histology Technician/Technologist to perform, evaluate and report histological tests on patient samples. Roles include addressing instrument and inventory concerns and exercising professional judgment in routine operations.

Minimum NYSED Histotechnician or NYSED Clinical Laboratory Technician licensure is required or eligible. ASCP is preferred; training or permit within required timelines may be considered. This is an on-site, per diem opportunity with variable shifts.

Qualifications

• NYSED license or eligible within specified timeframes.
• ASCP certification preferred but not required.
• Experience may be preferred but newly certified can be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform, evaluate, record and report histological tests for diagnoses.
• Identify issues with instruments, computers, and inventories.
• Work independently to resolve issues in absence of supervisor.
