Qualifications

• 1 year histology work experience preferred.
• HT certification by ASCP upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs embedding and microtomy with accuracy to department productivity standards.
• Assists with grossing and dictation of gross descriptions as needed.
• Prepares and maintains tissue processing, embedding, staining, and equipment; ensures inventory and supplies.
• Supports training of new staff and maintains CAP/CLIA compliance documentation.
