Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a biomedical/biochemical field or 4 years of related experience
• Minimum of 2 years histology lab experience
• Knowledge of tissue processing, embedding, microtomy/cryotomy, H&E, coverslipping, and QC of slides
• Experience with chromogenic/fluorescent assays on automated staining platforms using FFPE and frozen sections
• Proficiency with automated histopathology instrumentation (microtomes, H&E stainers, coverslippers, microscopes)
• Strong written/verbal communication, teamwork, and ability to manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Perform basic histology techniques (embedding, microtomy, cryotomy, H&E, IHC)
• Digitize H&E and IHC/IF slides with a slide scanner
• Support spatial genomics using technologies like Ultivue and Visium HD
• Conduct preventive maintenance on instrumentation per SOPs and vendor guidelines
• Document all experimental/lab processes in LIMS, Jira, and related systems
• Maintain a safe laboratory environment and follow QC standards
