Job summary

PathGroup in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Lab Assistant I to accurately perform various functions in the histology lab. You will coordinate surgical case paperwork and slides for delivery to pathologists, manage SSR orders, load and remove slides from stainers, retrieve needed slides and blocks from files, package slides and blocks for return to outside facilities, and file blocks and slides.

• Minimum of one year of previous health care environment job-related experience is preferred.
