Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specialty Lab Assistant to join the Histology team at Ascension Saint Agnes in Baltimore, MD. Shift 3 runs Monday-Friday, 12:00am to 8:30am, supporting specimen preparation and workflow.

Responsibilities include unpacking, routing, labeling, packing/unpacking, and ensuring compliance with production goals. Candidates should have a High School diploma and prefer 1+ year in a lab setting and an associated science degree.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year or more lab/medical experience preferred.
• Associate degree or higher in Chemical or Biological Science preferred.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Resolve and document problem specimens.
• Monitor supplies and inventory as directed by management.
