Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks Lab Assistant I – Histology in Cincinnati, OH. You will assist in preparing histopathology samples under supervision, labeling specimens, and handling routine clerical tasks in a busy lab.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and the ability to work a 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM shift, Monday through Friday. This is a full-time position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Some College Courses in Science preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine activities involved in the preparation of histopathology slides under supervision.
• Receive/collect, label and prepare tissue specimens for gross dissection.
• Process paperwork associated with accessioning and reporting.
• Monitor inventory, requisition supplies prior to depletion; stock and maintain laboratory supplies.
• Clean, sterilize, organize and maintain work area and equipment.
• Perform coverslipping of stained slides manually and automatically.
• Responsible for all assigned clerical duties.
• Comply with health, quality and safety policies and PPE usage.
