Qualifications

Overview

The HPEP Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating alcohol and drug prevention programs within the Hispanic community. This includes delivering evidence-based curricula to youth in schools and community settings, providing programs for parents and adults, and facilitating support services and referrals for at-risk or affected individuals.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain confidentiality of participants.
  • Display a positive attitude toward community, participants, and staff.
  • Deliver evidence-based programs in schools and community groups, maintaining relationships with educators and program administrators.
  • Record data accurately and prepare program reports.
  • Be familiar with community resources for referrals.
  • Represent NCADD-RA at community events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or Health Education preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • CPP, CPS, or CASAC credential preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience working with youth and families in the Hispanic community.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferably a native speaker.
  • Valid NYS driver's license and ability to travel.
  • Personal transportation required.
