Responsibilities
- Maintain, diagnose and repair a variety of heavy equipment, such as: Off-highway Trucks, Compactors, Dozers, Excavators, Wheel and Backhoe Loaders, Graders, Skid Steer Loaders and Telehandlers.
- Accurately disassemble, inspect, determine parts needed and reassemble to factory specifications
- Accurately perform preventive maintenance, test equipment and conduct inspections to ensure proper operation
- Operate lifting devices
- Order, exchange and return parts for assigned jobs in timely manner
- Demonstrate proper use of service information systems
- Complete service reports and all other paperwork accurately and on-time
- Performs all tasks by adhering to and following all applicable and required safety standards and procedures at all times
- Ensure total customer service through direct customer interactions.
- May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year-experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel equipment
- Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures.
- Able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, operating and maintenance service manuals.
- Working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.
- Ability to operate lifting devices.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment
- Familiarization of electronic cables, connections, and sensors.
- A demonstrated commitment to accuracy, organization and ability to prioritize tasks is required.
- Previous experience on CAT equipment is a plus.
Working Conditions
- The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside (non-climate controlled) and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
- Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
- Physical use of a broad variety of tools and machines in order to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Must be able to lift varied weight.
- Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
- Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
