Position Description Summary

Position Title: Server

Employment Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: General Manager

Department: Dining

Position Description

The Server is responsible for delivering First Class Service to guests, including friendly interaction, suggestive selling, answering questions, taking orders, and ensuring correct delivery of food and drinks.

Responsibilities

• Exceed service standards and behave professionally with guests and peers.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions.
• Observe guests and respond to requests, ensuring complete meal service.
• Be knowledgeable about menu items, specials, and beverages.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently following company procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Support other restaurant areas as needed.
• Handle guest concerns appropriately.
• Complete side work duties, including cleaning tasks.
• Maintain current alcohol service certification and ensure responsible alcohol service.
• Comply with all relevant food safety and legal regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience in restaurants preferred
• Experience with POS systems and handling money
• Ability to work flexible shifts in a team environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Adaptability to changing priorities
• Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs and perform job functions involving standing, bending, reaching, and walking
