About the Role

We're seeking a smart, research-driven SEO Content Writer who can create high-impact, accurate legal content that connects with everyday users. While legal experience is not required, strong research skills and a deep understanding of how to write for the web are essential.

The top priority is rebounding and growing organic traffic. To do that, we need writers who understand how to optimize content around the right search intent—and who can break down complex legal topics into accessible, engaging content for non-expert readers.

This role is perfect for writers who are curious, analytical, and eager to learn—people who enjoy the challenge of untangling a difficult topic and transforming it into something others can easily understand.

Scope and Duration

Scope: Full-time 40 hrs/week

What You'll Do

• Write approximately 4 long-form articles (1,000–2,000 words) per week, and contribute to refreshes, edits, and micro-content. Responsible for keyword research and outlining before drafting.
• Rebound organic traffic through strategic SEO content. Focus on creating content that ranks, drives traffic, and guides users through the conversion funnel.
• Manage workflow: receive topics, conduct keyword research, submit outlines, incorporate feedback, and draft articles. Collaborate with editors and legal SMEs for revisions.
• Conduct deep research from credible sources and legal documents to build trustworthy, accessible articles.
• Simplify legal topics for clarity, avoiding legalese, to make content understandable for non-experts.
• Work with feedback loops, collaborating with editors and asking SMEs clarifying questions as needed.
• Format and publish content in WordPress, ensuring quality and proper styling.
• Use tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Search Console to inform and improve content strategy.

Who You Are

• Based in the US or Canada (no visa sponsorship available)
• 2+ years of SEO content writing experience; legal writing is a plus, but not required
• Excellent research and writing skills, quick self-educator
• Strong understanding of SEO, search intent, and keyword targeting
• Experience with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console; familiar with WordPress and Google Docs
• Ability to identify uncertainties and ask for help; organized, responsive, capable of managing multiple tasks remotely
