Location: US - Remote. MUST be based in the US to be considered.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer - Tech Lead to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team. In this role, you will be a hands-on technical leader for our QA automation efforts across web, mobile, and API projects. You will play a key role in shaping our test automation strategy and leading a talented team to ensure high-quality coverage and automation across our platforms. This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology in the real estate industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Lead QA automation efforts across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and API projects.
2. Act as the tech lead for the automation team, setting best practices, defining test strategies, and ensuring high-quality coverage.
3. Write, maintain, and evolve automated tests using Playwright for web applications and Detox for mobile applications.
4. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other QA engineers to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and automation plans.
5. Build scalable and robust automated test suites to support continuous integration and deployment.
6. Proactively identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and improvement in test infrastructure and coverage.
7. Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and quality are integrated into the development process.
8. Mentor and lead other engineers in automation best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
9. Champion a high bar for quality across the company and help shape the quality engineering culture.

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Strong expertise in TypeScript, with extensive experience using Playwright for testing modern web applications.
2. Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient test code.
3. Experience setting up and maintaining automation pipelines in CI/CD workflows.
4. Ability to lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
5. Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
6. Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles.
7. Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in QA automation engineering, SDET, or a similar role with a focus on web, mobile, and API automation.

Tech Stack:

1. Web: React-based applications.
2. Mobile: React Native applications for iOS and Android.
3. Automation Tools: Playwright for web E2E automation, Detox for mobile app automation.
4. CI/CD: Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes with multiple deploys per day.
5. Testing/Collaboration Tools: BrowserStack, YouTrack (ticketing system), Kanban methodology for project management.
