How you’ll make a big impact here – and on your career:

As a Senior Product Manager on the Versapay product team, you will take ownership of our automated accounts receivable offering. Financial teams struggle with fragmented processes, relying on disconnected tools that create reconciliation challenges and operational bottlenecks. In this role, you’ll build a comprehensive suite of capabilities that automate AR team operations, accelerating cash flow management.

You will be responsible for leading a cross-functional group of engineering, design, and go-to-market team members to meet the needs of our customers and our business. At the same time, you’ll be expected to foster a high-performance culture and promote excellence of the craft of Product Management across the company.

This role is designed to drive change, both in AR team behaviour and internal operational processes, which means that a great candidate remains effective while being flexible and agile. You’ll use your intellectual curiosity, passion for product and bias toward action to steer strategy.

What you'll do:
  1. Deliver brand-new products, drive data-led experiments, and iterate existing experiences. Curiosity, quick learning, creative thinking, and collaboration are essential.
  2. User Research and Analysis: Conduct user research to understand customer needs, behaviors, and pain points. Analyze data to inform product decisions and improve user experience. Conduct in-depth market research and user analysis to identify opportunities for payments products.
  3. Unify product strategy: Set the vision and direction for the product. Identify opportunities for cross-product collaboration, standardization, and unification of various product lines and execute strategies. Own the Product Line Operating Reviews quarterly.
  4. Own the Product Development Life Cycle: Lead product end-to-end throughout the development cycle, including discovery and go-to-market phases.
  5. Be the expert on the product and customer: Know the product inside and out and understand user needs. Participate in design sessions, prototypes, and iteration planning to build highly useful and adoptable products.
  6. Collaborate across a complex environment: Lead and influence teams to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
  7. Identify progressive product features: Leverage technology, data, and tools like ML or AI to provide differentiated value, driving efficiencies in accounts receivables.
  8. Drive progress: Lead development from ideation to launch, including requirements, technical specs, testing, and strategy. Prioritize backlogs, develop epics, and write user stories. Prepare customer-facing and internal documents, presentations, and training materials.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of ongoing enhancement through user feedback, usability studies, and UX best practices.
What you'll bring to the team:
  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or relevant experience
  • Experience in B2B, fintech, or payments processing
  • Proficiency with Jira, SQL, and product analytics tools (Heap, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
  • Successful track record in launching and managing payments products at scale
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • Entrepreneurial, scrappy mentality, thriving in ambiguity, and solving complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging C-level stakeholders and simplifying complex concepts
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills
What will make you stand out:
  • Experience verifying API interactions with tools like Postman or Insomnia
  • Ability to query databases for data inspection and interpretation
  • Systems thinking approach to product design
