May 17, 2025 - WizeTalent is hiring a remote Senior Accountant. Salary: 34,000 mxn pesos per month. Location: Mexico.

Our firm was established in 2006 by Blaine Gary. Most of our clients refer to him as "The CPA with Personality." He has a BBA in Accounting from Marshall University and is also a licensed Texas CPA for almost 20 years.

  • Salary: 34,000 MXN pesos per month
  • Experience: 3+ years of Public Accounting experience
  • Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm US Central Time. (US Public Holidays will apply, however, some other country specific public holidays can be traded/negotiated)
  • Training: In-depth training provided, with potential for career development
  • Language: Excellent English skills, both written and verbal

  • Reporting to: Accounting Manager

Tasks & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for undertaking all production-related accounting and tax activities such as:

(a). Monthly accounting:

  • Preparing monthly financial statements
  • Classifying financial transactions
  • Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
  • Processing payroll
  • Submitting sales tax payments for multiple clients monthly, quarterly, and yearly
  • Making journal or ledger entries
  • Completing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close process
  • Using bookkeeping software and entering information into company files or databases, ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate
  • Working with other members of the accounting department to compile, analyze, and report financial data
  • Reviewing and checking less experienced team members' work.

(b). Annual business and individual tax preparation:

  • Assist with the preparation of annual personal and business IRS, Texas and other miscellaneous state tax returns.
  • Data entry into tax software

Software Knowledge: (desirable, but not essential)

  • QuickBooks
  • Proseries Tax Software
  • Microsoft 365
  • Adobe Acrobat
