Job summary

The Solution Consulting Fzco is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations, upgrades and rollouts. You will own delivery including scope, timelines, budget, quality and client relationships, guiding cross-functional teams of functional consultants, technical developers and business stakeholders.

You will apply a delivery framework and be the escalation point for complex issues, while coordinating with Microsoft, partners

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience as a functional consultant on D365 F&O (AX 2009/2012).
• Deep expertise in at least one D365 F&O module, preferably Finance.
• 3–5 years in a project management or delivery lead role on D365 F&O engagements.
• Delivered 3–4 full-cycle D365 F&O implementations, some in PM capacity.
• Strong knowledge of core processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash).
• Experience with LCS, Azure DevOps, data management, and integration approaches.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations, upgrades and rollouts. The ideal candidate has grown from a strong functional consulting background, preferably in Finance, and now owns delivery: scope, timelines, budget, quality, and client relationships. They will lead cross-functional teams of functional consultants, technical developers and business stakeholders, and make sure the solution delivers measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Project planning and delivery

• Lead full-lifecycle D365 F&O implementations, from discovery and fit-gap analysis through design, build, testing, cutover, go-live and hypercare.
• Define project scope, plans, milestones, resource requirements and budgets; track and report progress against them.
• Apply Microsoft's Success by Design framework and a suitable delivery approach (Waterfall, Agile or hybrid).
• Manage change requests, scope control and project financials, including effort estimation and margin tracking.

Stakeholder and client management

• Act as the primary contact for client sponsors, business process owners and IT teams.
• Run steering committee meetings, weekly status reviews and project reporting.
• Manage expectations, resolve escalations and keep stakeholders aligned on priorities.
• Coordinate with Microsoft, ISV partners and third-party vendors where needed.

Functional leadership

• provide functional direction across D365 F&O modules, particularly General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank Management, Budgeting and Project Management & Accounting.
• Review and sign off solution designs, functional design documents (FDDs) and configuration decisions.
• Guide the team on integrations, data migration, reporting (Financial Reporting, Power BI) and localization requirements such as GST and VAT.
• Act as the escalation point for complex functional and business-process issues.

Stakeholder and team management

• Be the primary point of contact for client sponsors and senior stakeholders; run steering committee meetings and status reviews.
• Lead, mentor and allocate work across functional, technical and data teams, including offshore and onsite resources.
• Coordinate with Microsoft, ISV partners and third‑party vendors where required.

Risk, quality and governance

• Identify, track and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies.
• Oversee test strategy, including SIT, UAT and regression testing, and ensure quality gates are met before go-live.
• Plan cutover, go-live readiness, user training and organizational change management.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to governance and compliance standards.

Business development support

• Support pre-sales activities: solution demos, effort estimates, proposals and responses to RFPs.
• Identify opportunities for further phases, enhancements and support engagements with existing clients.

Required qualifications and experience

• 10 to 15 years of experience as a functional consultant in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including its predecessor Dynamics AX (2009 / 2012).
• Deep expertise in at least one D365 F&O module, preferably Finance (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, Consolidation).
• At least 3 to 5 years in a project management or delivery lead role on D365 F&O engagements.
• Delivered a minimum of 3 to 4 full-cycle D365 F&O implementations end to end, including at least one in a lead or PM capacity.
• Sound understanding of core business processes such as Record‑to‑Report, Procure‑to‑Pay and Order‑to‑Cash.
• Working knowledge of Lifecycle Services (LCS), Azure DevOps, data management framework and integration approaches.
• Strong client-facing, communication and presentation skills, with experience managing senior stakeholders.
• Bachelors degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a related field.

Preferred skills, certifications and competencies

Certifications (preferred)

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310)
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert (MB-700)
• PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent project management certification
• Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent finance qualification

Preferred experience

• Upgrades or migrations from Dynamics AX 2012 to D365 F&O.
• Multi-country or multi-entity rollouts, including India (GST) and GCC (VAT) localizations.
• Exposure to Power Platform, Power BI and Dual-write with Dataverse.
• Experience managing distributed onsiteoffshore delivery teams.
