May 01, 2025 - Gridlines is hiring a remote Project Finance - Associate Director. Salary: competitive base salary. Location: UK.

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director who is passionate about financial modelling and driven by growth. You will work with a team of modelling professionals to create, analyse, and optimise complex financial models, ensuring they are robust and reliable.

Requirements

Main Responsibilities

  1. Operations:
  • Lead multiple teams across a portfolio of active assignments.
  • Lead in the creation and optimization of comprehensive financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide strategic guidance and insight into the structuring of transactions.
  • Review and interpret commercial documentation and ensure it is reflected accurately in the financial model.
  • Lead in the development and enhancement of our financial modeling methodologies and tools, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • People:
    • Lead a team of modelling professionals.
    • Train, motivate, and lead junior team members on assignments.
    • Collaborate closely with team members, learning and contributing to assignments.
    • Communicate model findings and insights effectively to clients and internal teams.
    • Simplify complex financial model issues to make them understandable for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Growth:
    • Lead in the business development and growth efforts of a key sector of the business.
    • Lead in the development of client pitches.
    • Lead client calls and build client relationships.
    Key Skills and Qualifications

    • 6-10 years of relevant experience in a financial role within a recognized advisory practice or large corporate setting.
    • An in-depth understanding of accounting concepts; an accounting qualification is beneficial.
    • Sector-leading expertise in Project Finance.
    • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in building and operating financial models using Excel.
    • Degree qualified in a numerate discipline; a postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance is beneficial.
    • Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard is desirable.
