Job description

May 01, 2025 - KASA is hiring a remote People Operations Specialist. Salary: competitive salary. Location: Philippines.

About Kasa

Kasa is the leading tech-enabled hotel and apartment hotel brand and manager. Kasa has built a hospitality operating system that fundamentally improves the profitability of hospitality assets while delivering a high-quality, digitally forward experience to guests. We partner with owners of multifamily and boutique hospitality properties to deliver stylish, professionally managed accommodations to business and leisure travelers alike. We took the best that hotels and short-term rentals had to offer and created a new class of hospitality that is well-priced, reliable, and offers a large selection of great locations.

Unlike traditional hotel operators, we prioritize automation, AI-driven pricing, and data-driven decision-making to optimize revenue and improve guest experiences.

Purpose of the People Operations Specialist position

Location: Remote – Based in the Philippines

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive People Operations Specialist to join our People Operations team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of HR processes across the employee lifecycle—from onboarding and compliance to HRIS management and off-boarding. You will support the day-to-day operations of HR systems, maintain employee data integrity, and contribute to key initiatives that improve the employee experience and HR service delivery.

Unleash your career potential at Kasa

We're building a tech-enabled global hospitality brand that unleashes the potential of liveable space. Hospitality is at the core of who we are, and we are committed to providing our teams the same care we give our guests, neighbors, and partners.

Your Impact
  1. Contribute to people operations process improvement projects and initiatives. Execute deliverables across multiple projects simultaneously including gathering research, documenting standard operating procedures and workflows, incorporating edits to documents based on feedback, and preparing presentations or documents.
  2. Create a hospitality-like experience for all Kasa team members: Coordinate support tickets and Slack inquiries from Kasa team members to ensure responses within SLAs for HRIS, benefits, perks, compensation, payroll, and recruiting. Coordinate and host orientation for new team members to ensure they feel welcomed and prepared.
  3. Administer HR Processes. Support internal employee events and external candidate events including onboarding, off-boarding, transfers, promotions, and employee changes.
  4. Manage IT and TechOps onboarding/off-boarding processes. Ensure proper system access, hardware distribution, and security protocols during employee onboarding and off-boarding.
  5. Organize and update content within our internal wiki. Use Notion to organize and verify content for all team members. Consult on teamspace setup and workflow automation as needed.
  6. Maintain system administration for people operations technology stack. Assist with access provisioning, feature and API configurations, and manage relationships with customer success managers to leverage our third-party tools including Lattice, ADP, Benepass, and Greenhouse.
  7. Generate reports on headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics to support decision-making.
  8. Complete tasks ensuring compliance with labor regulations. Ensure training requirements such as anti-harassment and human trafficking are completed per laws.
Required Attributes
  • Project Management Guru: Applies project management practices to initiatives-based deliverables across multiple projects with moderate to medium complexity.
  • Change Agent: Supports change management efforts including communication plans and training development.
  • Unparalleled Communication: Contributes to productive conversations, considers multiple perspectives, and communicates with empathy. Able to explain programs, initiatives, metrics, and policies clearly.
