Job summary

Actalent is hiring 100% remote pharmacy technicians to review prior authorizations for a large healthcare insurance department. You will approve or deny authorizations, handle health plans and medications, and forward cases to pharmacists when needed.

Responsibilities include processing prescription exceptions, data entry, solving billing issues, and supporting calls with patients or physicians. Must have 2+ years in pharmacy tech and be able to work remotely in a HIPAA-compliant setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Prior Authorization experience.

Hiring 100% Remote Pharmacy Technicians

We are hiring 100% REMOTE pharmacy technician across time zones. As a pharmacy tech, you will be involved in reviewing prior authorizations for determination for a department that is part of a large healthcare insurance company. You will approve or deny authorizations and send some to pharmacist for final review. You will handle all health plans and types of medications.

• research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues
• escalate questions regarding prescriptions to pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing

Must Have

• Ability to work remote and independently
• 100% remote. Must work in a closed-door setting with limited distractions and be HIPAA compliant. Strong Wi‑Fi and ability to work remotely are required.

Shift

Monday to Friday 8 AM to 8 PM (8 hour shift)

Preferrably located at South or North Carolina/Arizona/Florida/Alabama

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
