Location: Cambridge, UK – (Remote available within the UK with team onsite days in the Cambridge office approx. 4 times per year)

Are you a creative generalist, fluent in both 2D and 3D pipelines, who thrives at the intersection of art, marketing, and storytelling?

At Jagex, the RuneScape: Dragonwilds team are building a beautiful world with exciting, cooperative gameplay experiences and we’re looking for a Marketing Artist who can bring that world to life beyond the game.

As a Marketing Artist, you’ll turn raw game assets into high-impact trailers, short-form social content, compelling visuals, and cinematic stories that fans want to share and watch again. From showcasing upcoming features to crafting partner-worthy trailers that set community forums alight, your work will play a key role in how players experience our game before they even log in!

This is a hands-on, highly creative role that blends game development and marketing. You’ll work closely with the community and marketing teams, capturing visuals that inspire and elevate the RuneScape: Dragonwilds brand across channels.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Capture cinematic-quality footage from Unreal Engine 5 using Sequencer and in-engine tools.
  • Extract, optimise, and repurpose game assets for marketing use.
  • Create polished 2D assets using Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Work in 3D tools such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max to light, animate, and enhance marketing scenes.
  • Collaborate with marketing and community teams to deliver high-quality content across trailers, social media, creator campaigns, and events.
  • Help define and uphold the visual tone and storytelling craft of the RuneScape: Dragonwilds brand in marketing materials.
  • Adapt raw gameplay into engaging stories that resonate with our audience and elevate player hype.

What we’re looking for:

  • A strong portfolio showcasing trailers and promotional content with cinematic flair and high visual impact.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, including Sequencer and asset handling.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects and Photoshop.
  • 3D experience in tools like Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max, especially around scene lighting, animation, and rendering.
  • Strong sense of pacing, composition, mood, and emotional storytelling.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and maintain a cohesive visual identity across all media.
  • Passion for fantasy worlds, community storytelling, and creating moments fans will remember.
  • Demonstrable Experience with live service games, open-world titles, or community-driven content.

What we offer:

When you join Jagex you can look forward to a generous Perks & Benefits package including:

  • Private Healthcare, including Dental Plan.
  • Minimum 6% Pension contributions.
  • Employee Assistance Programme & onsite Counselling.
  • Life Insurance.
  • Discretionary annual performance bonus.
  • Enhanced family leave policies from day 1.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays & the option to buy/sell holidays + so much more!
