Position: Caregiver and CNA positions available
Pay: $15 for CNAs and $14 for Non-licensed
Schedule: All shifts available - Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, Overnights
We seek a compassionate and experienced caregiver to assist with daily living activities for an individual needing care. The ideal candidate should be reliable, patient, and able to provide quality care with respect and dignity.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain vital signs, record them, and notify the office of deviations according to standard practice.
- Assist with personal hygiene: bathing, grooming, dressing, hair care, shaving, deodorant application, skin care with lotions and/or powder, foot care, and ear care. (Note: Q-tips are not to be used; nail care and oral hygiene are needed to facilitate treatment or prevent deterioration. Nail cutting or filing will NOT be done.)
- Change bed linens and make the bed.
- Assist with eating and maintaining adequate nutrition and fluid intake.
- Assist with ambulation and transfers, including helping patients to the toilet/commode, with bedpans, and other transfers as appropriate.
- Perform incidental household services essential to patient health care, such as light housekeeping, straightening the room, and laundry.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Understand and apply basic infection control principles and procedures; contact the supervisor with concerns.
- Follow the Plan of Care as instructed by the healthcare professional; document appropriately and submit all documentation per agency policy.
- Observe physical and behavioral changes, report to the office, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and agency personnel.
- Adhere to the visit schedule, notify the office of any changes, and promptly report if unable to visit a patient.
- Attend required in-services and meetings (minimum 12 hours per year).
- Follow the agency's Policies and Procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
We will participate in performance improvement activities as indicated.
