Job summary

Marksman Security is hiring Retail Unarmed Security Officers to safeguard our clients and properties. The role requires an Active Level 1 Guard Card and offers pay starting at $21.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include patrolling on foot or by vehicle, inspecting doors and windows, and responding to emergencies with appropriate authorities. Candidates should be at least 18, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to multitask while maintaining a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• AZ Unarmed Guard Card is required or must be willing to obtain one.
• 18 years of age or older
• 21 years of age or older to drive company vehicle
• Driver's License
• High school degree or equivalent
• Security experience preferred but not required
• Ability to multitask and deal with competing priorities
• Professional demeanor and appearance

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Patrol interior and exterior of properties to identify safety and security risks
• Report alarms or request police, paramedics or fire departments in case of emergency
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
• Complete parking patrols and issue violations, as deemed necessary
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Deter criminal activity and misconduct
• Maintain awareness and familiarity with the site-specific operations and post orders
• Lock and unlock areas according to the site’s opening and closing procedures

Position: Retail Security Guard (Active Level 1 Guard Card REQUIRED)

Pay: Starting at $21.00 /hour

This position requires occasional crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking for extended periods of time!

You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and deterring vandalism, thefts or any other criminal behavior. Patrols may be completed on foot or by a Marksman vehicle.
