Job summary

HighSpring India LLP is seeking an experienced SharePoint Architect for a remote, two-month contract to lead a major modernization effort. The role focuses on reviewing current SharePoint designs, identifying gaps, and delivering a scalable, secure, and maintainable future-state architecture.

You will define the target-state and a clear migration path, guiding governance, taxonomy, and integrations across Microsoft 365 stack.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SharePoint experience with architecture/solution design.
• Hands-on assessment and redesign of existing SharePoint architectures.
• Define a revised/target-state SharePoint architecture and roadmaps.
• Plan transitions from current to proposed architecture with migrations/retirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess the organization's existing SharePoint architecture and design.
• Review sites, content structures, permissions, workflows, customizations, integrations, governance.
• Identify architectural and technical gaps.
• Recommend improvements to the existing design.
• Develop the future-state SharePoint architecture.
• Redesign information architecture, site structure, permissions, taxonomy, metadata, governance.
• Review workflows and integrations and recommend modernization opportunities.
• Evaluate SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Teams, Azure, and related tech.
• Develop architecture diagrams and detailed technical documentation.
• Define migration/modernization strategy and implementation roadmap.
• Provide technical leadership to development/engineering during implementation.

Location: Remote

Shift: 2 to 11 pm

Job Type: 2 months contract

Summary: Looking for an experienced SharePoint Architect with strong experience in reviewing, redesigning, and modernizing existing SharePoint architectures. The primary responsibility will be to assess the current SharePoint architecture/design, identify gaps and technical limitations, and create a revised architecture that is scalable, secure and maintainable.

Must Haves:

• 10+ years of overall SharePoint experience, with significant experience in architecture/solution design.
• Mandatory hands on experience assessing an existing SharePoint architecture along with redesigning/revamping it.
• Experience defining a revised / target-state SharePoint architecture.
• Ability to develop a roadmap for transitioning from the existing architecture to the proposed architecture.
• Experience deciding what existing components should be retained, redesigned, migrated, replaced, or retired.
